Opening Reflection
They turned reality into quicksand, smiling while you sank in doubt. Every 'that never happened' and 'you're overreacting' was a deliberate knot in your mind. They counted on your sanity fraying before their story did. No more. The fog they blew into your life is no longer yours to breathe. We simply open the window and let the haze drift back to its architect, thick and familiar, until the one who made confusion a weapon finally loses their way in the smoke they created for you.
Invocation
May your own fog thicken until you taste its source.
Method
Take a small round mirror and a bowl of still water. Set them on a dark cloth. Light one gray candle—color of half-truths—and place it so the flame reflects fractured in the water. Speak aloud three specific moments they twisted reality; name the tactic plainly: the rewrite, the denial, the fake apology. With each naming, stir the water counterclockwise with your dominant hand, feeling the cool drag against your skin. When the surface clouds, lean close and exhale one slow breath across it, saying: ‘The confusion you poured into me now pools in you. Walk your own labyrinth until truth feels like air again.’ Let the candle burn until the wax drowns the wick. Pour the water at the roots of a tree that grows crooked. Wipe the mirror clean with a cloth dipped in rainwater; keep it face-down until you feel steady.
Closure & Aftercare
When the mirror is dry, turn it over and meet your own clear eyes. Speak one sentence of untwisted truth about what happened. Feel the ground under your feet. The disorientation has changed address; it no longer lives in your body. Burn or bury the gray remnants. Drink something cold and real. You are oriented now.
Safety Notes
Do this only when your nervous system is calm. Have a friend on standby if flashbacks rise.
